This is the first time that Pixi’s natural fur color has been in the comic. She’s been artificially colored (but not flavored) since Hey Fox started posting in color! Her changes this time seem to have been inspired both by mistaken assumption of homage and, perhaps, dodging some legal inquiries?
This particular joke was inspired by the real-life Honey, who pointed out that Pixi need up, essentially, colored just like Lola Bunny in Space Jam. At that point, I pretty much had to roll that into a comic somehow!
Pixi is always fun to draw, and I’m enjoying this new shadow style. It’s a bit harsher than I’ve been using, but I think it works… What do you think?
This is an interesting look for Pixi. I had most remember her in her blue period. And the shading is bringing out the dimensions more.

And Pixi will likely be colorful again. She doesn’t tend to stick to her natural shade for long. Maybe I should do some sort of poll for what color she will chose next…
Well, if she goes rainbow, we can hang out and confuse people! That is until someone calls us bunnies, then it will be clear who is who….
